Strouhal number
Summary
The Strouhal number is a dimensionless number for unsteady flows. It compares the frequency of the flow with the rate at which the flow carries fluid past an object. It describes oscillating flows, above all the periodic shedding of vortices behind a bluff body. For a circular cylinder, vortex shedding happens at a Strouhal number close to over a wide range of flow speeds.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
