Ternary operation
Definition
Let be a set and let be the Cartesian product . A ternary operation on is a finitary operation of arity , that is, a function .
Remarks
Example: on , the map that returns the middle value of is a ternary operation. It is defined for every triple and its value is one of , so it lies in . It satisfies .
Non-example: the map is not a ternary operation on , because it is not defined when .
A ternary operation is usually written in prefix form , since there is no standard infix notation for three arguments.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
