Weight space

Summary

A weight space of a representation of a Lie algebra is a common eigenspace of a family of commuting operators. For a linear form λ\lambda on a subalgebra 𝔥\mathfrak{h}, it is the set of vectors vv with h⋅v=λ(h)vh \cdot v = \lambda(h) v for all h∈𝔥h \in \mathfrak{h}. A finite-dimensional representation of a complex semisimple Lie algebra is the direct sum of its weight spaces for a Cartan subalgebra. The roots of a Lie algebra are the nonzero weights of its adjoint representation.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
