Abel summation
Builds on Summability methodSeriesPower seriesOne-sided limit
Definition
Let be a series of complex numbers. The series is Abel summable to if the following two conditions hold.
- The power series converges for every real with .
- The one-sided limit exists and equals .
Remarks
Example: for , that is , one has for . This tends to as , so the series is Abel summable to .
Non-example: for , condition 1 holds with . But as , so condition 2 fails and the series is not Abel summable.
If converges to , then it is Abel summable to ; this is Abel's theorem on power series. In the notation of summability, one writes .

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
