Closed timelike curve
Summary
A closed timelike curve is a closed loop in a spacetime along which an observer always moves into the future, slower than light. Yet the observer returns to the starting event. Such curves are allowed by some solutions of the Einstein equations, such as Gödel's rotating universe and the inner region of the Kerr black hole. Their presence breaks ordinary causality, so their absence is the weakest of the causality conditions.
