Coercive bilinear form

Summary

A coercive bilinear form on a real Hilbert space is a bilinear form aa with a(u,u)≥α∥u∥2a(u, u) \ge \alpha \norm{u}^2 for a fixed α>0\alpha > 0. Coercivity is the key hypothesis of the Lax–Milgram theorem. It turns the weak form of many elliptic partial differential equations into a problem with exactly one solution.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
