Derived category of coherent sheaves

Summary

Let XX be a Noetherian scheme. Its derived category of coherent sheaves Db(X)D^b(X) is the bounded derived category of the abelian category of coherent sheaves on XX. It is a triangulated category. For XX smooth and projective over a field, the derived functors of pushforward, pullback, tensor product and Hom act on these categories. It is the natural home of Serre and Grothendieck duality and of Fourier–Mukai transforms. Two varieties with equivalent derived categories share many invariants, so Db(X)D^b(X) is studied as an invariant of XX in its own right.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
