Equidistribution modulo one
Builds on Floor functionLimit of a sequence
Definition
For a real number , let be its fractional part, where is the floor of . A sequence of real numbers is equidistributed modulo one if for all real with ,
Remarks
Example: for irrational , the sequence is equidistributed modulo one; this is the equidistribution theorem. Non-example: has , so for the count is for every , and the limit differs from . Weyl's criterion gives an equivalent form: the sequence is equidistributed modulo one if and only if for every nonzero integer . Another equivalent form: for every continuous function on with . Some authors also say uniformly distributed modulo one.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
