Finite-dimensional distributions

Summary

The finite-dimensional distributions of a stochastic process (Xt)t∈T(X_t)_{t \in T} are the joint laws of the random vectors (Xt1,…,Xtk)(X_{t_1}, \dots, X_{t_k}) for finitely many times t1,…,tkt_1, \dots, t_k. They determine the law of the process on the product σ\sigma-algebra. By the Kolmogorov extension theorem, a consistent family of such laws comes from some process, which is the usual way to construct processes. They do not determine path properties such as continuity.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
