Summary
An inelastic collision is a collision in which some kinetic energy is lost, turned into heat, sound or deformation. The total momentum is still conserved, because the contact forces act in equal and opposite pairs. In a perfectly inelastic collision the bodies stick together, and the loss of kinetic energy is as large as momentum conservation allows. It is the opposite case to an elastic collision.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
