Particular point topology
Example
Let be a set and let . The particular point topology on declares a set open if or . This is a topology: and are open. A union of sets that contain contains , and so does a finite intersection of them. So is a topological space.
- is a T0 space: let , and name them so that . Then is open, contains , and does not contain .
- If has at least two points, is not a T1 space: every open set that contains a point also contains .
- is connected: any two nonempty open sets meet at , so is not a union of two disjoint nonempty open sets.
- The set is dense, since every nonempty open set contains .
- is compact if and only if is finite. Indeed, the open sets for cover , and a finite subcover exists only when is finite.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
