Rajchman measure

Summary

A Rajchman measure is a finite measure on a locally compact abelian group whose Fourier–Stieltjes transform tends to zero at infinity. On the circle, this means that the Fourier coefficients μ^(n)\hat\mu(n) tend to 00 as ∣n∣→∞\abs{n} \to \infty. Every absolutely continuous measure is Rajchman by the Riemann–Lebesgue lemma, but some singular measures are Rajchman too. These measures are central in the study of sets of uniqueness and multiplicity for trigonometric series.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
