Space of bounded continuous functions

Summary

For a topological space XX, the space Cb(X)C_b(X) consists of the bounded continuous scalar functions on XX, with the supremum norm. It is a Banach space: see completeness of the space of bounded continuous functions and the example of the sup norm. Convergence in this norm is uniform convergence on XX. When XX is compact, every continuous function is bounded and Cb(X)C_b(X) is the classical space C(X)C(X).

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
