Yoneda embedding

Summary

The Yoneda embedding of a locally small category ๐’ž\mathcal{C} is a functor into presheaves. It sends each object AA to its hom functor Homโก(โˆ’,A)\Hom(-, A), a presheaf on ๐’ž\mathcal{C}. By the Yoneda lemma it is fully faithful, so ๐’ž\mathcal{C} is equivalent to a full subcategory of a category of presheaves. This lets one study objects of any category through set-valued functors, where many constructions are easy.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
