Ashkin–Teller model
Builds on Ising modelPotts model
Example
Let be a finite graph, let be real constants and let be the inverse temperature. A configuration assigns to each vertex two Ising spins . Its energy is The Ashkin–Teller model is the probability measure on proportional to .
Remarks
If , the model is two independent Ising models, one for and one for . If , the bond energy is when and otherwise. So it equals , and the model is the four-state Potts model with coupling . Ashkin and Teller introduced it in 1943 as a model of a four-component system. On the square lattice it has a line of critical points along which the critical exponents vary continuously.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
