Compact Lie group
Summary
A compact Lie group is a Lie group whose underlying manifold is compact. Examples are the circle, the tori, the orthogonal groups and the unitary groups . These groups carry a finite invariant measure, so averaging over the group works as for finite groups. As a result their representation theory is as clean as that of finite groups. Their structure is described by maximal tori, root systems and Weyl groups.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
