Example
Fix the speed of light and a proper acceleration . Hyperbolic motion is the world line in Minkowski space given, as a function of proper time , by Its points satisfy , so the world line is one branch of a hyperbola.
Check that is proper time: the four-velocity is and . The four-acceleration is with . So the proper acceleration is the constant : this is the motion of a rocket that feels a constant acceleration .
The ordinary velocity is , so the rapidity is , growing linearly in proper time, while the speed stays below . In Rindler coordinates this world line is the curve , .

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
