Ideal norm
Summary
Let be a nonzero ideal in the ring of integers of a number field. The norm of is the number of elements of the quotient ring . It is multiplicative, and for a principal ideal it is the absolute value of the field norm of a generator. It measures the size of an ideal. It is used in the finiteness of the class number and in the definition of the Dedekind zeta function.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
