Jordan pair

Summary

A Jordan pair is a pair of vector spaces (V+,V−)(V^+, V^-) with two triple products. Each product takes two elements of one space and one element of the other. It generalizes the Jordan triple system, where the two spaces coincide. Through the Tits–Kantor–Koecher construction, Jordan pairs match Lie algebras with a grading 𝔤−1⊕𝔤0⊕𝔤1\mathfrak{g}_{-1} \oplus \mathfrak{g}_0 \oplus \mathfrak{g}_1. The theory was developed systematically by Ottmar Loos.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
