Fluid mechanics Foundations and kinematics of flow Concept
Mach number
Summary
The Mach number is the ratio of the flow speed to the local speed of sound. It measures how important the compressibility of the fluid is. Flows are called subsonic for and supersonic for , and the two regimes are governed by equations of different type.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
