Summary
The univalence axiom is an axiom of Martin-Löf type theory formulated by Vladimir Voevodsky. It says that equality of types in a universe is the same as equivalence of types. More precisely, the canonical map from identifications to equivalences is itself an equivalence. It is the central axiom of homotopy type theory and of univalent foundations. It makes every construction respect equivalence, so that isomorphic structures can be used interchangeably, and it implies function extensionality.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
