Algebraic topology Homotopy groups Concept
n-connected space
Summary
A space is -connected if it is nonempty, path-connected, and its homotopy groups vanish in degrees to . It generalises path-connected (-connected) and simply connected (-connected) spaces. Connectivity sets the range in which the Hurewicz, Freudenthal and Blakers–Massey theorems apply.
