Fluid mechanics Foundations and kinematics of flow Concept
Prandtl number
Summary
The Prandtl number is the dimensionless number that compares how fast a fluid diffuses momentum with how fast it diffuses heat. Unlike most dimensionless numbers it depends only on the fluid and its state, not on the flow. It controls the relative thickness of the velocity and thermal boundary layers, so it enters every problem of heat transfer by convection.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
