C0-semigroup

Summary

A C0C_0-semigroup, or strongly continuous semigroup, is a family T(t)T(t), t≥0t \ge 0, of bounded linear operators on a Banach space that behaves like etAe^{tA}. It satisfies T(0)=IT(0) = I and T(t+s)=T(t)T(s)T(t + s) = T(t) T(s), and T(t)x→xT(t) x \to x as t→0t \to 0 for each vector xx. Its generator AA is in general an unbounded operator, and u(t)=T(t)u0u(t) = T(t) u_0 solves u′=Auu' = A u. C0C_0-semigroups give the solutions of linear evolution equations such as the heat equation, transport equations and Markov processes.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
