Relativity and gravitational theory Special relativity: kinematics Concept
Four-vector
Summary
A four-vector is a vector of Minkowski space. In each inertial frame it has four components, which change by a Lorentz transformation when the frame changes. Physical quantities such as displacement in spacetime, four-velocity, four-momentum and the wave four-vector are four-vectors. Writing laws with four-vectors makes their agreement with the principle of relativity automatic.
