Adjugate matrix
Definition
Let be a commutative ring, let , and let be an matrix over with cofactors . The adjugate of is the matrix with entries So is the transpose of the matrix of cofactors .
Remarks
For , . The adjugate satisfies . Older texts call it the classical adjoint; it is not the adjoint of an inner product space.
Explanations

To build the adjugate, replace each entry by its cofactor, and then transpose. The adjugate is almost the inverse: it is the inverse multiplied by the determinant. For matrices, swap the diagonal entries and negate the other two.
What this node needs for W2
- edge instance_of in: one example (0 of 1)
- edge not_instance_of in: one non-example that fails one clause (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.
