Fundamental matrix
Definition
Let be an open interval and let be continuous. A fundamental matrix of the homogeneous linear system is a differentiable function with these two properties. For each , . For each , the matrix is invertible.
Remarks
Equivalently, the columns of are solutions that form a basis of the space of solutions. Each solution is for a unique , and the solution with is . If and is invertible at one point , then is invertible at each point, by Liouville's formula. For a constant matrix , is a fundamental matrix. See the matrix exponential as the solution.
Explanations
L1 human
A fundamental matrix puts independent solutions side by side as columns. Then one matrix product gives each solution: choose the vector of coefficients.
What this node needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.
