Generalized force
Builds on Generalized coordinates
Summary
A generalized force is the component of the applied forces along one generalized coordinate. It is defined so that the work of the forces in a small change of the coordinates is . Generalized forces appear on the right-hand side of Lagrange's equations. If the coordinate is a length the generalized force is a force, and if it is an angle the generalized force is a torque.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
