Proof that the interior is open
Builds on Topological spaceInteriorOpen setUnion of a family of sets
Proof
- Let be a topological space and let .
- Let be the family of all open sets of with . Each member of is in .
- By the definition of the interior, is the union of the members of .
- By the second axiom of a topology, the union of each family of members of is in .
- So , that is, is open in .
Idea
The interior is built as a union of open sets. The axioms of a topology say that every such union is open. So no work is needed beyond the definition.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
