Fluid mechanics Foundations and kinematics of flow Concept
Vorticity
Summary
Vorticity is the curl of the velocity field of a flow, . It measures the local rate of rotation of the fluid: a small parcel spins with angular velocity . Flows with zero vorticity are called irrotational, and vorticity is the key quantity in the study of vortices and turbulence.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
