Maclaurin series

Definition

Let II be an open interval with 0∈I0 \in I, and let f ⁣:I→Rf \colon I \to \mathbb{R} be smooth. The Maclaurin series of ff is its Taylor series at 00: ∑n=0∞f(n)(0)n!xn.\sum_{n=0}^{\infty} \frac{f^{(n)}(0)}{n!} x^n.

Remarks

For example, the Maclaurin series of exe^x is ∑xn/n!\sum x^n / n!, and the one of 1/(1−x)1/(1 - x) is ∑xn\sum x^n. The series is named after Colin Maclaurin.

Explanations

A Maclaurin series is a Taylor series centered at 00.

What this node needs for W1
  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.

What this needs

To read this node, read these 17 nodes in this order. The foundations come first, and the list ends with this node.

Each node uses the nodes above it. The colour of the bar on a box shows the evidence level, and the box also gives it as text. The list below has the same nodes.
