Regular curve
Definition
Let be an interval, and let be a parametrised curve. The curve is regular if its tangent vector is not zero for each .
Remarks
The circle and each line with are regular. The curve is not regular, since its tangent vector is zero at . The curve is not regular at , but its image is a straight line. So regularity is a property of the parametrisation, not of the image. A regular curve has an arc length parametrisation.
Explanations
L1 human
A regular curve never stops. The moving point always has non-zero speed, so the curve has no corners or cusps caused by the point coming to rest.
What this node needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.
