Endomorphism
Definition
Let be a field and let be a vector space over . An endomorphism of is a linear map . The set of all endomorphisms of is written .
Remarks
An endomorphism is also called a linear operator on . Endomorphisms can be composed with each other, so their powers and polynomials are defined. Under composition and addition, is the algebra of endomorphisms. Eigenvalues, the trace and the determinant are defined for endomorphisms of finite-dimensional spaces.
Explanations
L1 human
An endomorphism maps a space into itself. So we can apply it again and again, and compare a vector with its image. In a basis, an endomorphism of an -dimensional space is a square matrix.
What this node needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.
