Group homomorphism
Definition
Let and be groups. A group homomorphism from to is a map such that for all . Here the product is taken in and the product is taken in .
Remarks
The map is a homomorphism from to . The map is a homomorphism from to the positive real numbers with multiplication. For each pair of groups, the map that sends each element of to the identity of is a homomorphism, the trivial homomorphism. The composite of two homomorphisms is a homomorphism.
Explanations

A homomorphism translates one group into another so that products go to products. It does not matter if you multiply first and then translate, or translate first and then multiply. The logarithm turns multiplication of positive numbers into addition, and this is why it is a homomorphism.
What this node needs for W2
- edge not_instance_of in: one non-example that fails one clause (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.
